Classical Symphony of the Sea

Photo by Kedar Gadge on Unsplash

Neptune wields his might staff

and summons sea nymph

to frolic in the foam

as zephyr dance

above the swell

and creatures through the seaweed roam.

Poseidon mounts grand Hippocampus

and rides the surf in quest

to woo Amphitrite so fair

while Triton blows a regal conch,

a lovesong

to the mermaid lair

Now Thor does shake

his stalwart fist

and sea serpents

raise their heads in song

and toss yonder ship, so far from shore

about the billow strong

And waves rise in crescendo

as lightning flashes staccato beats

and the sea, it turns a steel grey

as muses inspire fine symphony

and the musicians begin to play
