Shadowy Realms

The shadowy realms of my internal catacombs

Harbor secrets

Too scared to appear

In the light

They smolder

And slither

And wail

They creep forward

And whisper

You cannot

You should not

You won’t

And with my last ounce of courage

I silence them

I can

I should

I will

And despite their protests

I do
