Inner Storm

Photo by Shashank Sahay on Unsplash

I sit
Quietly
Properly
Stoically
Hands folded

While inside my head
The storm raged on
My soul screams
My psyche sobs

I hush her raging cacophony
Pat her on the head
Tell her to go to her corner

She whimpers

While I sit
Quietly
Properly
Stoically
Hands folded
